The eye is the focus of this scanography series. I see the eye as the most intuitive and irreplaceable tool for exploring the world and expressing emotion. In this project, I capture the essence of the eye and its many emotional states through scanned images. I use photographs taken from magazine covers as my base material. During scanning, I shake the images to create wave-like, softened effects, adding a sense of motion and distortion. Each eye represents a different emotion, reflecting how, in modern life, much of our anxiety comes from the way we are watched and judged by others. These works invite viewers to experience the raw impact of the gaze and confront the tension it creates. I encourage the audience to face these gazes directly and to see the depth of feeling that the eyes convey. Eyes, Watching celebrates the eye as a tool for exploration and a powerful channel for emotion. It asks how we can use our eyes not just to observe, but to connect with others in a more honest and meaningful way.
